We saw a need for a comprehensive blockchain technology tool on the market. We wanted to create a tool that builds product credibility, controls the supply chain and on top of that proves your hidden value. Onecredible needed to be highly adaptable.

The main goal behind the project was to design and implement a service that would use a blockchain to verify the credibility of supply chain of any product purchased online. The service would contain several different systems and applications connected to one blockchain database. Developed systems and apps would link different stakeholders engaged in the process, like: vendors, shipment and logistic companies, buyers, and more.

The process started with Design Thinking workshops, based on which we prepared a few prototypes to test the solutions. Then, the best prototypes were used to implement the service on a bigger scale in a production environment. Lastly, we needed to develop marketing and strategy to sell the service.

Solution

We developed a combination of solutions. First is a hybrid mobile application in the Flutter framework (for iOS and Android) for logistics and shipment companies where every step of a product shipment history is logged. The supply chain history can be monitored and presented to customers of eCommerce shops thanks to the dedicated plugin that we also created here.

New products or product batches can be managed and monitored in the admin panel for vendors, based on a blockchain database. All that is connected to a specially designed network that not only stores data, but also constantly monitors processes and prevents any attempts to falsify the stored information.

The challenges we have overcome

One of the most significant hurdles was devising a system that could accurately track and monitor every step of a product shipment’s history, from the warehouse to the end customer. Additionally, integrating this data into eCommerce platforms posed another challenge, which we tackled by developing a dedicated plugin.

Another major challenge was devising an efficient way for vendors to manage and monitor new products or product batches, which we solved by creating an admin panel based on a blockchain database.

Finally, we had to design a secure network that could not only store data but also identify any attempts to manipulate the information stored.
